A Rancho Mirage remodeling contractor that designs and builds

Rancho Mirage earned its reputation as a retreat for presidents and Hollywood, and many of its homes still carry that era's scale: long single-story layouts, deep overhangs and big lots facing the fairways or the Santa Rosa Mountains. What they often lack are kitchens built for how people entertain now, primary suites with real spa baths and systems sized for desert summers.

Level 7 Design & Build plans and builds those upgrades under one contract. Our in-house studio designs the layout, finishes and 3D renderings, and our licensed crew builds it, with Greg Young accountable from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.

Remodeling Rancho Mirage country club and estate homes

Much of Rancho Mirage lives inside private clubs, and each one has its own rules for what can change and how work gets done. We remodel homes in communities including Thunderbird Country Club, Tamarisk Country Club, Mission Hills Country Club, The Club at Morningside and The Springs Country Club, as well as custom estates outside the gates.

Club homes built in the 1970s through the 1990s are some of our most rewarding projects: closed-off kitchens become open entertaining spaces, small baths become primary retreats, and patios become true outdoor rooms, all while staying within the club's architectural guidelines.

Designed for Rancho Mirage summers

Heat and sun

Summer temperatures above 110 degrees change how a remodel should be designed. We specify high-performance glass, insulation, shading and properly sized HVAC so new spaces stay comfortable and efficient.

Materials that last

Strong UV, wind-blown sand and hard water are tough on finishes. We choose surfaces, fixtures and exterior materials that age well in the Coachella Valley climate.

Indoor-outdoor living

Large sliding and pocket doors, covered patios and outdoor kitchens let you use the home the way Palm Springs is meant to be lived in, most of the year.

Energy code ready

California's Title 24 energy standards apply to most remodels. We design to meet them from the start, so inspections and approvals stay on schedule.

Rancho Mirage permits and club approvals, handled

Most remodels in Rancho Mirage need permits from the city's Building and Safety department, and homes in country clubs usually need HOA or architectural committee approval before work starts, often with rules on work hours, contractor access and exterior materials.

We prepare the drawings, submit the applications and present to architectural committees as part of every project, so approvals move forward without you managing the paperwork.

MEET YOUR DESIGNER AND BUILDER
“Your home should rise up to greet you. At the end of the day, it should ground you in a sense of peace.”

Greg Young has led Level 7 as both designer and general contractor for more than 25 years. Before homes, he worked in theatrical design, and that eye for space, light and drama still shapes every project.

He stays hands-on from the first conversation to the final walkthrough, so the person who designs your remodel is the person accountable for building it.
